I am working on doing a mk3 2.0 aba head on my 1.8 block and boosting it or just boosting the 1.8. I was going to do a swap with a 1.8t or a vr but that’s been done so much I want to do something different. Has anyone done either of these options I’m thinking of going?
What is the purpose of having an ABA head on your 1.8? They flow the same and all you would be doing is wasting more of your time.
As for a turbo option, this has been probably been done way more than a 1.8t.
Do what you wish because it's your project, but a 8V engine does not flow much so having a large turbo with a very small power band is not much fun on the road. I would get a turbo that ran out of breath around 6.5-7k and would build boost down low. That way, you can enjoy being on boost instead of waiting for it to hit you in the face.
more space for the turbo if the inlet is on the front:thumbup:
