Hi everyone, I was trying to code comfort folding mirrors on my B7 Passat and kept getting this error.

      Adaptation Error
Error in input: please enter one hexadecimal byte, eg: FF

The original value was 90 and I tried typing in 95 and 99 and even tried the original 90. The same error kept appearing.

What could be the reason for this and is there a way to fix it?

Remove all the numbers in the adaptation field, as it contains leading and trailing spaces. Then put in the required number and click Do it and it should work.

Tried this today and unfortunately got the same result. Cleared the 'New value' field multiple times and no luck.
      What else could it be?

Did you do the security login first before going to the adaptations menu?
