Bummer. At least I won't be nervous about throwing giant rocks at the GT3.

@thegave if you are coming, I will bring the rabbit.

You mean you're not going to attempt an insane 36 hour swap to get the 16v in for the weekend?

I probably can't do the 18th. Sundays are generally not good for going driving. Where's the E30 going?

Nah, I will just slum it with the turbo motor. Still ordering parts for the 16v. Once all the parts are in, it should be closer to a 48 hour turnaround

E30 is going for sale. It is going to fund the fox project.

Do we ditch the flat sixes and do the 17th?

This could work. I would prefer Livermore too then. But we lose Hushy and Penny

Is this where I admit they don't check TCL often, and that I haven't texted them yet? I'm not sure they're aware they're missing something.

Ok I'll stop being a dick and I'll hit them up tomorrow. Lord knows Drew needs to blow the cobwebs out of his SS.

Damn, would love to join you guys but this weekend isn't gonna work for me.

Meroving1an - welcome to the F8X/S55 club Bummed the GT3 is gone, but a slightly slanted I6 is a good transition. Let me know if I can spare you a rabbit hole or two (or encourage a few).

My mini quesadilla was tasty, but man those short ribs gave me indigestion.

Great to see you guys! I had a great time. The chill pace up to the observatory was rough though. Usually I知 hyper scanning the road, but at a relaxed pace I was able to take my eyes off the road see how destroyed the area is by the recent fire. That area got freaking hammered.

Also, we have a Rabbit down. Jon says low oil pressure. That man sure knows how to blow up reliable engines.

Was it just 4 cars for today? Makes decision making a lot easier.

I'd like to think another restaurant will open up eventually at that location...it's an awesome spot.

Apparently I should have bought a lotto ticket, instead of writing terrible things on the internet.

No clue what happened yet. I was heading back towards Patterson, taking it slow since I was dangerously low on fuel. All of a sudden, the oil pressure light comes on. Coast to the next pull off, check the obvious stuff, nothing looks out of place. Has oil on the dipstick. Start it up, sounds like I have marbles in the oil pan. Managed to catch a ride to cell service, 15 miles away in Patterson. Where I am currently, waiting for my wife to pick me up.

A wonderful time today driving with friends, and getting to know the F87 chassis. As Brendan said, the Livermore mountains look utterly awful and burnt; I feel really sad for the people living in the area.

Thank you! Slightly slanted straight-six (aliterate!) is a solid replacement; so much torque in the S55, but after 6500 RPM it still sings. I welcome any and all rabbit holes.

Just showed up on the tow truck. Made oil pressure, so I let it start. Doesn稚 sound completely broken. Gonna do an oil change, and cross my fingers.

Took the Cayman out to stretch its legs this morning going north on Mines and caught a glimpse of SOS and (I think) Hushypushy and HE Pennypacker, plus a whole slew of Porsches heading south. I知 happy to report they all had superb lane discipline. Bummed I couldn稚 make it to the Junction meet, but could only free up a couple hours.
