Compact commuter SUV? We all know that Nissan CVT is junk, what about other popular commuters like the CRV/Civic, RAV4/Corolla, etc... If CVT was so unreliable why would Honda and Toyota use it!
I'm asking because I might trade my car for a more practical compact SUV. I occasionally do shopping/home depot runs after work and find the small trunk of my car so annoying. My other option is to get home first and take the wife's SUV, but that's also annoying, and she wife refuses to trade cars. I'm looking at those two brands in particular (CRV-RAV4) because if I drive it for a little while and decide the "SUV thing" is not for me, I can always trade/sell it without getting hosed on the depreciation. So, back to the main question, would you buy a CVT car?
