Hasn't this been discussed to death here? Excessive stance is dumb, moderate can be cool. As long as it doesn't have tinted tail lights who cares?

Ghetto has been cool in the US since the invention of jazz. Stupid term

Stance is OK as long as it's done to ****ty cars that don't get driven much.

Came here to simply say this. Using the term Ghetto to describe things is as low brow as it gets.

But on topic.. wheel and tire fitment is individual.. and as long as it isn't causing a danger to others (mega stretched tires or camber maxed wheels) then sure.. do you. I think a person who would pose the question in this way might have bigger issues than how much offset and camber is in play.

Stance cars are like art, not as functional as a tool and certainly subjective. I wouldn't consider my car stanced but it's definitely a touch lower than it "needs" to be, and it functions fine for track/autocross/fun and style in my eye. A lot of times this feels like an attack on the demographic, which is young kids, so of course they'll take it to the extreme, and make something obnoxious and/or poorly executed. Not any worse than Boomer Corvettes with Betty Boop everywhere

It does. But you see a lot of it here in snow land. Lots of trucks in the winter look like they skipped leg day when the winter tires are on.

The more interesting question is why you need to associate negative terms with certain kinds of people.

      Ghetto?

Ahem, I see stance as reverse Bro Dozers, same just going in different directions At the end of the day it's people modifying and enjoying their vehicles. And that is awesome. I wouldn't personally lower/stance a car or raise/Bro Dozer a truck (OK, I might ) but do enjoy seeing the creations people made in both mediums. Low Riders are just as insane and are just as awesome too.

Cars, people, people enjoying their cars. Spectate, participate or just hate, it's your decision. I wouldn't do it but definitely dig it.

For me at least, ghetto still means what I though it meant, well checking with google it does. But, google might be hopelessly boomer'd.
But hey, usage over time changes.

I might be hopelessly boomer'd too. However, in my experience, quite a few of the trends in the slide show, have a higher rate of observation (by me) in those areas I would associate with the word.

Conversely, truck nuts, Carolina squats, fake bead lock rims, and bro-dozers have a higher occurance in 'dirt floor cracker' areas. Rural? Backwoods? what's the term for them areas that will offend? Dumbph*ckistan? Maga country?

So what is all the fuss about regarding 'ghetto'?
