Hello, soon to finish parts recollection for my turbo build.
Please correct any part that you think could be better or will hurt performance,
List goes like this:
-GT3582
-38 mm Tial BOV
-FMIC (still not sure on dimensions or brand)
-C42 chip
-Green 440 Bosch injectors
-Short runner intake.
-Walbro inline pump
-Manual boost controller,

Trying to achieve 350-400 HP
NEEDS to be daily driven...
Suggestions?

You should have no problems reaching your power goals with that setup. Even without the short runner. Plan on doing some trans work, or driving very carefully all the time.

I daily drove my VRT with a C2 42# chip for years. Had no problems and even passed state inspection. Only reason I am not going to be running that anymore is due to the car is no longer my daily and will be going bigger.

You will need a headspacer, also recommend doing head studs at the same time

9:1 compression, they companies that make them will be able to point you in the correct direction. I run no spacer and low compression forged pistons instead. The spacer is just fine, many people making good power on them.

Also, on c2 software you should be running a diverter valve, or recirculating any BOV. the air is metered through the MAF and if not returned into the system it can start acting funny. I was running a TIAL sport 38mm waste gate, and a forge 007 billet diverter valve.

Add the following:

  • LSD and bolt kit
  • Clutch
  • Flipside customs reinforced clutch fork ("while you are in there")
  • USRT pinion shaft brace ("while you are in there")
  • Redline trans fluid

P.S. that's a really large turbo to only make 350-400.

NEED a wastegate more than you need a BOV!
If the GT35 doesnt have an INTERNAL gate, you will need and external gate. I have a PW39 on my VRT and its doing great attached to a kinetic manifold.

Other items:

I didnt see you mention a turbo manifold, what are you doing for that? the Kinetic Manifolds are expensive, but great fit and quality - however a cast ebay job should work, and if you get the ATP clone, you can buy a premade ATP downpipe to bolt right up.

You're also gonna need an adapter coupler from the TB to the 2.5" IC piping (3" i believe), and likely a 2 or 2.25 to 2.5" coupler for the turbo outlet to the 2.5" IC pipe.

For chip tune you can look at Reflect Tuning as an alternative to UM, however UM does make a KILLER good chip tune for these.

Something else i saw mentioned and thought I'd touch on.

If you are using a GT35, go ball bearing and keep with the .82 housing. It will spool just fine for you, somewhere around 4k, I see a 3500rpm spool on my Precision 60 Trim (journal brg)

Also make SURE you go with a 3" downpipe, and preferably a 3" exhaust to match.

Thanks for your reply.
Im still considering UM chip <img src="http://www.vwvortex.com/Anthony/Smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)" class="inlineimg" />
Might go this route.
So far i have 2.5 universal tubo pipes kit.
2.5 inlet and outlet FMI
Tial 38 BOV
Not sure if i need a wastegaste?

What do you think of a HKS sequential WG? I have one laying around, brand new...it belonged to my brother who never used it.
Really apreciate your help here.

Any atmospheric blow off valve is not advised for MAF only chip tunes.
(the release of measured air confuses the computer)
Recirculated diverter/bypass valve would be ideal.
