Just a heads up, getting a bunch of scam replies to my WTB posts (some requests almost a year old).

The person will have just joined, have 0 posts and send you a message stating "You can contact [so-and-so] he has [whatever part], here is [so-and-so] email ... [some gmail address].

Might not be new to you (and might be old news), but has been very frequent as of late for me and not unlike a bunch of Ham Radio forums I frequent. They will pull the cashapp/moneygram request.

I played along with one for a while just because, he was happy to send me multiple ground control kits over night for $150 - go figger.

This is still going on for sure. The people sending the messages are new and have zero posts.

When you email them, they have photos of the part you are wanting that they have stolen elsewhere.

      Beware.

It took less than 3 hours to get somebody trying to scam me on a WTB post.

Report the PM it's the fastest and easiest way to get rid of the scammers. We can't be everywhere all the time.
