      Anyone have any insight?
I'm still pretty happy with F1TV. Only had 1, 5-minute glitch last year and they gave back $5 for it. After the initial buffering, it's been pretty solid. Hope it continues.

And on a side note, years ago I got to see a presentation on the logistics side of F1 and how they move the whole circus around the world as they do. For them to alter the 2020 China plans, meaning not send anything there and save those transport costs, they need to make the "cancel" decision like...yesterday. The scope/scale of F1 logistics is massive.

Yep, it's frustrating there is no Roku app. Thankfully my phone connects to the TV pretty simply, previously tried with a couple tablets and they would constantly have issues connecting or simply not connect at all due to the version of Android.

I had issues almost every single race, initial buffering, sometimes the app would just fail to load unless I uninstalled it and reloaded it, most races it would kick me out at least once, typically more, sometimes I could get back on and other times it would not even reload the stream. Since I got it for $50 for the year I was not too concerned, but I don't want to pay $100 this year and deal with the same crappy service.

To be fair that was a new sign up with contract which is expiring in July of this year. I'm sure it will jump to $200 Gotta play the "we're cancelling" game now with retention dept

It has an unlimited DVR so you can store as much as you want for 9 months I think. It might get you what you want. Just a suggestion.
      $50/month is quite high regardless.

For 70 channels in HD you can watch/stream anywhere with unlimited DVR?
Plus you can set it up for 6 sep user accounts to that one subscription. My 2 kids away in college watch my subscription on their TVs / laptops.

      I think that's a good deal..

Its a smoking deal compared to what Comcast gets from me once a month. In fact, two months of Comcast for me is about a year YTTV for you.

YouTubetv allows 6 separate accounts but you can only connect 3 devices at a time. Makes no sense to me.

right? I'm currently at $197/mo for comcast, which is gigabit* internet, cable package, two boxes, and HBO.

      *up to gigabit speed.

Is the commentary on F1TV the same as the ESPN or ABC broadcast commentary?

Same as Sky Sports, except only the audio so sometimes the announcers are showing Sky-specific analysis but you're still watching the original FIA feed.

Looks like Ross Brawn is taking his job seriously regarding 2021.

It’s the dawn of a new era for Formula 1 in 2021, with a complete overhaul of the championship’s sporting, technical and financial regulations on the way. As part of this revamp, F1 motorsport boss Ross Brawn says there will also be tweaks to the way the sport is governed to allow the FIA and F1 to make changes to the rules more quickly if a team has found a loophole.

As it stands, all ten teams have to agree to a change in the rules if made during the season. F1 and the FIA have been working hard to break their own rules, set to come into force in 2021, in a bid to close off any loopholes. But if any remain, and a team exploits one, under the current rules, any change to the regulations would have to wait until after the season ends. This won’t be the case from 2021.

"The governance in the past has been the teams have to all agree to make a change. We’re pushing through governance where we can make changes much more on short notice than at the present time,” said Brawn.

Same, not to mention the Hulu and Amazon accounts. Unfortunately, for us, there is no internet available that gets even remotely close to the speeds comcast offers, which is why we stick with them. Plus the streaming to a phone/laptop is pretty great. I'm not ready to give up cable yet, and like others have mentioned about ESPN's crazy F1 channel picking, I can currently watch every session with my current package.

Oh I forgot to mention that it includes local channels for the primary account. Nice for weather and local news if that is your thing.
