Unless I pull the fuse on top of the battery. When I put the fuse back in (ignition is off) they stay off. Start the car again and turn it off, fans stay on until I pull the fuse. I have no radio power now fuse 42 pulled looks good. Any thoughts?

Hmmmmm. Sounds exactly like what I'm going through with fuse 16 constantly blowing.

Check fuse 16. If it's blown, the car will run the fans all the time to prevent overheating because the fan control module isn't working.

You didn't accidentally hook up negative to positive and vice-versa, did you?

Yep, bone head move.....sounds like you have been there as well. Replaced all my fuses, 16, 42, plus the fuse on the back of the radio/head unit. Turns out I blew the 150 A blade fuse on the fuse block on top of the battery. That arrives from Audi today, so I have a liittle weekend project. The new battery was getting drained when driving it, could not get it started....had the battery checked after a few days, it bounced back, car started, so I have parked it for now. Hopefully this is it. New 150 A fuse was $10 from Audi. Going to mark the cables in the car as they are exactly the same color and not marked as to + or - so this does not happen again- duh!

The 150A fuse fixed all my dash warning lights issues and now everything works fine on that front. Cars starts fine, all good. Fans were still running after I shut it off, so I replaced the FCM last night- still no joy. Next stop is my indie.....

Fuses have been fine. I really am suspecting the issues are in the fans or the wiring to them. My A/C does not blow cold, but everything else electrical is working fine. Got an appointment Thursday to see what’s happening. I’ll post up what they find

Also, what brand was the FCM you used? I had URO for my last two, and they don't have the best reputation.

After run pump was fried and tripping the fans. Dodged a bullet! Update: fuse # 16 was blown. Replaced it , it blew again. Replaced the after run pump, everything works.
