      I have a 1994 euro-spec Cabriolet MkIII, ODB-I.

I downloaded VCDS and purchased the HEX-V2 USB connector.

I have hooked up to the car and scanned for codes, none found. I know that the software/interface works (tested by removing the connector from the temp sensor, verified the fault code and cleared it).

I see mention of settings/blocks and people using the program to see sensor output, is this something that can be done with an OBD-I vehicle? Is there any listing of measurement blocks (looked on the ross-tech site and others, couldn't find anything).

      Any info is greatly appreciated!

OBD 1 was really basic and didn't offer much.

You choose a measuring block # 001 and you get 4 fields of data.
      # 002 and you get 4 more fields of data.

OBD 1 didn't have much at all in the US!

      Good Luck

I usually like to take a look at the AMV (Advanced Measuring Value) to get a quick look at what is actually available in that module to look at, then I can go into MB (Measuring Blocks) and punch in the appropriate group number/s. Lots of times the group numbers do not contain any info from that specific module and you can see that easily with AMV.
