Take out the "First Edition" business and it simplifies it a bit. Kind of confusing offering Standard and Extended versions within the same trim level, rather than having Standard and Extended as trim levels with different packages available though. All I'm glad about is optional AWD on all trim levels, no making you pony up (hah) for Premium before you can get the dual motor.

Here in Canada, to qualify for government rebate they need a $44,999 CAD base model and the model being sold needs to be $54,999 CAD or less before options. I think they may pull it off to where a base, no option, Select trim, SR, AWD comes in at $54,999 CAD and they will sell as many in Canada as they want to send.

Wow, I was actually keeping an open mind, but boy, this is a huge disappointment. The interior doesn't do a good job of referencing the Mustang heritage, and the outside--as others noted--looks like a boring blob copied from Tesla.

      What a disgrace.

Wow, that would have looked much better. The sharper creases make it look a bit more muscular.

What a weak attempt to milk heritage to boost sales. Like when Buick made a LeSabre version of the Grand National:

Buick made that car to homologate it for racing, they didn't actually do it to "milk" the Grand National "heritage" (which wasn't really heritage when that car came out yet).

There's a surprise. The car community online will be up in arms for some time to come. Let's see if that actually even matters when the car hits the market. We still have people pissed the Charger has 4 doors.

So this is new to me--what modifications to the standard Le Sabre did they do in order to "circumvent" the NASCAR rules? I thought the LeSabre GN was nothing more than a badge job?

      Well that is ugly

But i will reserve judgement until i see it in person.
I saw a 2019 Shock colored Camaro 1LE SS yesterday and it didn't think it was ugly in person as it is in photos.

The whole EV movement really doesn't get me excited about anything.

I would never buy an ICE Mustang, but this is in the top three on my shopping list. I think they nailed it and suspect a lot of the negative comments come from Elon leghumpers. This is far better looking than a Model Y with its odd back and duck nose front.

LOL: I just remembered being at my local auto show and a mid-60s lady walking away from the Charger stand, her head low and shaking "no" back-and-forth, then stopping 50 feet away, turning back to the stand, and angrily saying "That's NOT a Charger! A Charger has 2 doors." Poor thing was all worked up over it.

Can't blame her, they ruined the "Charger" name by adding two extra doors.

Maybe it's because I already own an ugly EV but I think it looks great. Interior apes tesla a little too hard but otherwise I think they nailed what they were going for. I'll be curious to see GT pricing once it's been on on the market for a while.
If they can undercut the TM3P with similar performance and build quality from an established manufacturer it'll be awesome. Who knows what tesla will have on offer by then though.

Mustang is the sports car brand of Ford so I'm okay with splitting off the Mustang brand into a stand alone line of Mustang-inspired cars. I felt the Mach-E had huge potential as it could offer EV shoppers a muscular, interesting to look at option in what's becoming a sea of minimalist blobs. While I like the rear end the rest of the car simply isn't Mustang enough. Front looks like a next generation Edge with a silly looking faux-grille thing. Interior is the biggest disappointment. It should be angular and Mustang-esque, not watered down and Tesla wannabe.

The exterior is one of the best EV SUV designs I've seen.

The interior is a Tesla-esque sea of "blah".

I did some digging and found the original Ford Mach E design study. They started with this and worked backwards to the end result:

The trim level is pretty simple: Select, Premium, GT. CA1 and First Edition are just special color/limited avail of Premium trim so just ignore it.

The drivetrain option is independent of trim level: Standard RWD, Standard AWD, Extended RWD, Extended AWD. The n/a combinations are Select and Extended Range, and GT and Standard Range.

      So basically:

      1. Select Standard Range with choice of RWD or AWD
      2. Premium Standard Range with choice or RWD or AWD
      3. Premium Extended Range with choice of RWD or AWD
      4. GT Extended Ranger with AWD

Elon leghumper here and I love how this came out. I can see it doing very well across all EV fans. If it had an Alfa Romeo badge, I'd believe it. Glass roof, vertical ipad inside, and tons of EV power = Ford did their homework. Pricing seems reasonable. All is missing is the charging network for folks who have range anxiety. Does it have a Frunk?

The FordPass app that works with the company’s telematics system will have integration with EA charging plans so that customers can manage their payments and subscriptions. Mach E drivers will also be able to get real-time location and charger availability information through the app much as any driver can do already through the EA app.
Not quite Supercharger but getting closer.

If EA can put a charger in Syracuse and close the CCS donut hole in upstate NY, it would totally work for me for long range driving.
