The C8 is a tremendous value, but it isn't the answer to some people. With that said, what other car would you buy besides the C8? This is using your own hard earned money and you aren't some super rich person so bang for the buck should be a priority. Let's just stick to sports cars. If you are buying a suv or truck, etc, your needs are probably not going to be a corvette anyways.

The only thing I can think of is a V8 Miata and that's about $60k.

For 60K? A late Citroen DS, GMC Syclone and an old Acura TL. But for a single car the Corvette would be hard to beat.

      Non-troll answer-Cadillac ATS-V and pocket the extra 20K.
I gave up dailing old and rare cars and became a normie.

The best example 997 TT I could find, a 981 GTS, an R34 GT-R and store it in Jap until it’s legal, a 1M, or M2C.

Not sure I'd rather have anything, but that duo is probably the best candidate.
Maybes: GT350, M2C? Midengine is the cat's pajamas, though.
      You look nice today.

agreed. i'll get flamed for this, but I think I'd pick either one of my picks with spare cash over the 'vette.

I'd rather have an M2 Comp. If Porsche would bring back the flat 6 I'd rather have a base Cayman, though I probably would with the 4 too.

I don't love the C8, looks huge, I still like a manual, also curious about maintaining one, looks tight back there.

soo you're including anything, not just stock vehicles currently on sale?

hmmm, a tastefully modified 6sp mk4 TT Supra targa perhaps

Going to be hard not trading my 997.2 C2S manual for one of these. The performance is leagues beyond a simple 911

There's a surprising lack of new Supra on this thread.

I don't think I've wanted a new car more than I've wanted a C8 since the 5th gen Camaro was announced while I was in college. That said, for $60k, it's a used Alfa Guilia Quadrifoglio for me plus an extended warranty.

This is the answer I have. I’d have to drive both.
