my voltage gauge stopped showing as having any oil pressure last week. but it still does the needle sweep on engine start. so i'd say i can rule out the ground.
when i use my multi meter to back probe the pressure sensor it gives me about .8 - 1.2 volts (reading from when it was cold though warm up). when i back probe the same wire at the gauge it gives me the same. also measured the voltage drop from sensor to gauge and it is basically nothing.
what i can't find anywhere.... what is the damn voltage supposed to be from the sensor?
to be clear the sensor i'm referring to is the one from the bigger pressure unit, not that little tiny one for the buzzer.
doesn't actually seem to be a pressure problem, car runs fine. but again can't confirm cuz i don't know what i'm supposed to see from the sensor.
