Hello all - car is a Corrado with a 2006 3.6L BLV engine from a Passat. Car seems to run fine until fully warmed up, stalls and will not start again till it cools off. Below is the VCDS scan and some shots of group 103. I'm most curious about this since the adaptation value steadily increases to 2500 and from what I have read this value should be between -/+ 1000. I tried a different fuel pump control unit and that did not change anything which is leading me to believe there is a fuel pump issue.

Several codes relate to control units not swapped over and some 02 sensor codes since only the front 2 are installed.

      Thanks in advance!

      Hi!
maybe a long shot, I'm no expert, but sounds remarkably similar to my Mk4 v6 2.8l BDE engine problem: fine when cool, wouldn't restart when hot. After trying a new fuel regulator and other "small easy/cheap things", it was off with the gearbox, replaced timing chains/guides/tensioners and intermediate sprocket, problem all gone now.
The cam chain was beginning to rattle at ~1600 rpm, and I was getting cam/crank sensor errors occasionally.
Old chains were clearly stretched (not shown using VCDS measuring blocks) and the intermediate sprocket teeth were VERY badly worn; reckon I was lucky not to have slipped a tooth leading to the destruction of the engine! Poor maintenance by previous owners I guess
Did you physically check and/or replace the chains before putting the replacement engine in?
It would probs be a good idea to get DTC sorted first, presume all the looms are OK, then any stall-related codes might be more specific !?
      Cheers and good luck!

I had read about people having this issue when the HPFP slips a took from the chains being worn. However, the engine got all new chains and guides before it went in the car and I even bought the HPFP cam locking tool so that it was oriented correctly when the chains went in.

      That being said...

I got a low mileage LPFP and the old pump may have been the problem all along. Group 103 now shows a stable adjustment value and the car was hot and idled for a good bit and did not stall. Nice! Also, one of the plastic lines coming off the pump that I had plugged with two part epoxy softened up and blew out because it was submerged in gasoline. I'm sure this contributed to the problem. Either way, its fixed now!

      Group 103 with new pump

Lets look at the internal filter for each of them. This was probably the culprit. Its the tea bag looking thing in this pictures...

      Old pump (dirty and clogged)

Not as old pump (much cleaner)

      Great, a much easier fix!
