So my girlfriend has a 99 Cabriolet 2.0 and she was driving with the AC cranked just pulling out of a parking spot and there was a loud pop (sounded like a hose went) and her car died.
I noticed a puddle of coolant under the vehicle. No check engine code was thrown so I started looking to try to find the culprit. I found this electrical sensor that had blown apart.
I do not know what this sensor is called, at first I thought it was a temp. Sending unit on an aux. Water pump but it doesn't seem to match up to anything I see and I don't even see any auxiliary water pumps for a VW Cabriolet.

Any & all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
