Have a 2007 VW jetta 2.5L and had what I thought was a wiring issue and would not start. It had been sitting in the shop for 2 months and they went over everything and couldn't find a bad wire. So I snagged an ECU from a part out and threw it in and it fired up. It won't stay running and throws up an Immobilizer error. Whats the best way around the Immobilizer.

I'm trying to find someone to do that. In looking I have seen ways to program it but it says I need the pin from the car that I received the ECU from. I got it from a part out and the guy has the car completely taken apart and lives about 2 hours away. Safe to say I won't be able to get the pin from the guy.

Friend of mine found this. VAG Drive Box IMMO Immobilizer De-activator Deactivator Activator Programmer. Wonder if it would work. https://www.ebay.com/i/162485860648?chn=ps

I would have to say if it works you will have an immobilize light flashing in the dash.
You can call some that is a mobile key guy who will come to you and program it.
They have them in my area. where is your location?
Also you can call local dealer and tow car there and have them do it for $100
I have Vag techo which pulls the pin/skc then I use VCDS
You can also rent Vag Tacho for $25 but you need a credit card deposit of $500 that is returned when Vag Tacho is returned.

I am really interested to see what happens with this device but I don't trust china pirate $hit.
I bought 2 or 3 of the pirate Vag Tacho that never worked! Then bought the original for big bucks.

Please keep us posted if you buy this.

      Good Luck
