Recently my 2016 R has developed an intermittent issue. During hard acceleration, onto the highway for instance, the revs climb steadily to 4500 then suddenly jump to 5000 and then back to 4500 before resuming a normal climb. I'm not lifting the throttle. There is no CEL. It doesn't happen all the time. I'm running Unitrionic Stage 1+ with a 034 intake and upgraded boost pipes. Thinking boost leak at the DV. Anyone seen this behavior before?

A boost leak won't cause revs to jump.

DSG or 6MT? Sounds like a slipping clutch.

It's a manual. I initially thought it was the clutch but afterwards figured that it wouldn't stop slipping so predictably. Especially given I not lifting the throttle. It also isn't consistent. Some days it happens. Others it doesn't.

I read somewhere that it'll detect clutch slipping via engine speed vs wheel speed without clutch usage. Not sure what the response is, but I'd expect a notification of some sort at least, and automatic backing off the throttle at most.

Not seeing any stored codes in VAGCom. Of course now I'm not seeing it. Been over a week. Been driving just as hard if not harder. You'd think if it were the clutch it would get worse over time... I guess only time will tell.
