Hello, i'm STUMPED, I have an 87 Scirocco 16V engine sitting in my MK1 Rabbit Pickup truck...I noticed the next couple parts needed include a crank pulley, new water pump, and alternator. I DO NOT have AC, nor do I have power steering. I need some help in finding the pulley needed and water pump pulley along with which Alternator do I need for this setup, thank you.

      I took a stock 16V water pump,
used a press to remove the pulley flange,
put the pulley on the waterpump shaft,
pressed flange back on the pump,
bolted the pulley to the flange.

This places the pulley on the inside of the mounting flange
and enables me to use a single belt for water pump and alternator.
I am using the stock early Rabbit style alternator.

Awesomness! Exactly what I was looking for.

      For specifics:

      1. Is this Stock 16V Water Pump taken off ANY 16V engine?

      2. What crank pulley should I use, I would assume the pulley that would have came with the 16V 1.8l Scirocco Engine, if I do not have, go with a stock 16V crank pulley?

Thank you a bunch! Sorry I did not respond sooner, wife and I just had our first born

      1. All the 1.8 and 2 liters and more have the same water pump so yes

      2, Yes, stock 16V pulley.
