Hey everyone I recently picked up a pressure washer for my house but I also want to use it to clean the cars. It is a 3000psi washer. Is this safe for use on the car paint? Also if it is good to use is there a foam cannon that would work best? Thanks.
I would look into a 6.0 orifice 40 degree tip. That will reduce the pressure to make it safe. Common sense prevails, and still keep a ~2ft distance from the paint and delicate surfaces. In regards to the foam cannons, I have a mtm pf22 but don't really like the foaming process that much and rarely use it. I don't find any value in foaming. I suggest starting w/ a cheapo amazon special and determine if you like the process.
For reference, I use a 4.0 orifice 40 degree tip on a 1600psi kranzle w/o issue.
