Just filled up the zhp with 93 for $2.59/gallon. The sign said $2.99 but the pump said $2.59 so I was like "score!"

$2.75ish the other day in the SS, maybe?

It's about $45-50 to fill it up typically. It needs fuel, so it gets fuel. I don't get very worked up over it.

$2.89 for 87. And I hope this helps thwart the SUV craze that threatens sedans. I suppose it will help with those who buy the behemoth 15 mpg SUVS when they don't need them, but I fear it will have little or no effect on CUVs.

Well if we’re going to be snarky, why don’t you just make more of it instead of requesting some of mine?

Driving is my hobby, and I prioritize money for my hobbies. I’d rather enjoy a wonderful morning like I did, and the cost to do so isn’t a factor because I’ve budgeted for it. So again, unless there is a gas crisis and fuel is unavailable, IDGAF, I’m spending my money on stuff I want to do.

If you are budgeting for it then it is a factor - and you in fact do care about the cost. You're simply choosing to blow money on fuel instead of anything else. Even if it's "only" an extra couple hundred bucks a month vs a hybrid or whatever, you are choosing to forego other spending or savings in order to buy fuel. Income is finite.

The "news" is that you do actually "GAF" because you budget for it and choose gas over anything else...

I don't understand why you and others feel like coming on here and lying about this stuff. You care how much you spend on fuel. You care so much that you don't buy other things so that you can buy fuel.

Why try to pretend like you don't care, do you think it makes you look like a big man? "My wallet is so big that I never look at costs, I'm so much better than you bean counters!"

Lets do some napkin math together.

Today I burned 9 gallons of gas.

      9 x $4.11 is $36.99

Let’s say cheap gas is $2.50

      9 x $2.50 is $22.50

The difference is $14.49. If you think that me flippantly not caring about less than $15 to have fun on a Sunday makes me a big man, then I’m not sure what to tell ya bub. That’s not exactly a Bezos amounts of money. So again, IDGAF that gas is $4.11 in my area, it won’t keep me from enjoying my hobby, and that $14.49 doesn’t keep me from saving for retirement, etc.

I didn’t say something like “I spent $3,500 in gas to get my helicopter down to Catalina for the wine mixer because IDGAF about fuel. Oh you do?” I could understand your ire with a statement like that.

$14.49 a day is over $5k a year, not exactly chump change but also not relevant to the point at hand.

If you know and budget for and prioritize the cost of fuel, then you do in fact GAF. That's giving many F's.

It’s Sunday morning 365 days a year? Cmon man, I’m not retired! I don’t burn half a tank of gas for fun every day of the year.

We’re talking about such a piss ass small amount of money here. I’m sorry my commment rubbed your nipplets the wrong way, but this is just getting comical. Like any adult, I budget and save money, but you’re making it sound like I’m robbing Peter to pay Paul over less than $20.

So if $14.49 makes a huge difference to your budget, and makes you give many F’s, then maybe your first post to me was correct, and that I have too much money. Would you like $14.49 PayPal’ed to you?

      Let’s cue up Sarah McLachlan

For only $14.49, or less than 50 cents a day, your donation could help a fellow automotive enthusiast also not give AF about his Sunday morning. Your generosity can have a great impact on their automotive enjoyment. Thank you, and God bless.

I'm not rich, so I bought a cheap BMW and drive that hard for fun. No matter how hard I drive it I can't get it under 16-20MPG. Sold over sticker would have bought a BMW too, but he couldn't afford it, so he bought a Malibu instead.

I also buy fuel for fun.

I also buy fuel the for the plane for fun if my dad and I want to go for a flight. Turns out doing fun stuff in things with engines requires fuel. Sometimes I think mowing my grass is fun, f*ck! I have to buy more fuel!

Turns out, I can't really do anything I like to do without spending money on gas.

Take my wife bowling? F*ck! More fuel!

I think I'll sign up for the Sarah McLachlan fund. It's the only way I can afford to fund my hobbies and still feed my family.

      She truly is an angel.
