I don't understand why any car enthusiast wouldn't be outraged that some idiot thinks it's okay to damage someone else's property like this.
I've had cars keyed for no other apparent reason than what they were (Porsche). It sucks, and I would have definitely forced them to pay the full freight of the repairs if caught.

I'm reminded of a recent federal court ruling where parking enforcement officers chalking car tires as a means to track how long a car's been parked in a spot was ruled as "an unconstitutional trespass".
I bring this up because of their use of the word trespass. If cars are private property, then this woman both trespassed and vandalized. Here's hoping for just compensation.
But seriously, leave other people's cars alone.
