I need to increase traffic on my website and attract more visitors, but I'm not sure about SEO. The SEO guy i met was going on and on how adwords are the secret sauce, and nobody teaches you that. Is SEO worth paying for?

Professional Search Engine Optimization can place your website on top. Nowadays you can buy low quality traffic for as little as $10. But if want to get higher quality traffic it's better to apply to professionals to save both time and money. Based on my own experience I can say that good SEO strategy really works. I cooperated with expert SEO in Calgary who helped me to get a steady flow of visitors in the short period of time. So now based on my own experience I can say that good SEO strategy really works.

That's for you to decide. Try it yourself. Go to Google Ads and set it up yourself. You can set limits to test it out and you can always cancel it later if you're not satisfied. I'd recommend starting there.

Qualified SEO can really make a miracle with your site. He may know different techniques, even free, more than Google Ads

What is your website for? Networking, social media and creating a demand might help.

I run two small YouTube channels and never really cared about keywords or best practices. Now that I saw others channels with the same topics gaining viewers and subscribers much faster than me I started to look into keywords a bit more and I was shocked at how changing them would easily increase viewership.

My viewership doubled and my subscriber count started jumping much faster once I made these changes. I bet hiring someone for a website could have a profound effect. Just make sure you have solid before and after numbers so you know if they are being effective!
