Getting the Chevy stuck in a rut and using it as the base of a bridge didn't seem too scripted?!

Maybe it was because the fear was real on Hammonds face, or maybe it was because my angus was puckered at the thought of crossing the bridge, but I honestly laughed a snorty sort of laugh when Clarkson broke through on the radio with The Three Billy Goats Gruff

      Oh, and Pickup Trump lol

I enjoyed the Columbia trip, good stuff

Really great special! I genuinely laughed on multiple occasions. This matches or beats the best TG trip specials.

It did smell a tad of script, but it was funny as all hell.

On a side note, I got huge waves of the old Bolivia special hitting me. Really starting to feel like how Top Gear used to.

I liked Columbia. Felt a bit low energy compared to past trips but I suppose that’s to be expected as the trio gets older.

      Good mix of vehicles.

fwiw I, too, felt the Over-the-truck-bridge felt REALLY contrived, especially considering they just turned around on the other side.

I'd guess it's a lot cheaper than visiting places like Patagonia, I'd be worried about kidnap gangs or crimes of opportunity though. They had security for sure, Amazon wouldn't risk that without some thought.

S2 does make me want to visit Columbia. And see those hippos.

Also, a dealer here in Seattle had a Panda like that FS last year. The 4wd system was designed/built by Steyr, IIRC, and they are quite tough. Quirky little car, kind of a mini version of a Golf Country.

(I've decided a Golf Country with a 1.9 TD motor is my future BajaXL car.)

I noticed that this was one of the few times they got the camera crew involved and actually showed them.

So I guess what I'm wondering is if the 2 part special dropping all at once means there isn't going to be a new episode this Friday.

I got a few good hearty laughs out of the Colombia special, but you can definitely tell the boys are getting up there. They signed on for S4 but I get the feeling that'll be the last hurrah. Clarkson will be 59 soon and May isn't far behind. Hammond at this point is held together with bubblegum and tissue paper. I don't see them pushing deep into their 60s doing this sort of tour the world travelling for a majority of the year.

I might get crucified for this, but this Colombia special did not feel...special enough. By the middle of part two it felt that the pace was a bit slow and it was somewhat monotonous. The rail bridge was good, the volcano climb was good, overall it left me a little bored.

I've never said this before about any of the GT or TG specials. Any.

while i enjoyed the episode, i also agree with you. i was really hoping that they were going to do more offroading to show off the characteristics of the vehicles. much like the bolivia special or the africa special

I dont know, the second episode seemed rather boring compared to the first. I found myself skipping forward and was less entertained.
