First year car... I won't even buy a first year car from (real) Toyota or Honda...
Supra - 514 units
Z4 - 247 units
So yes, BMW partnering with Toyota was a really good move.

Sure it's cool if Toyota partnered with BMW for this concept, but I will forever be unreasonably salty that they slapped the Supra name on it. Utterly disappointing. Just call it something different FFS.
Did they get more attention and more sales by calling it a Supra? DEFINITELY. Would I have fun driving it? DEFINITELY. Will I ever get over the fact that Toyota out-sourced/co-oped the remake an absolutely legendary model, and couldn't even put their own powerplant in it? Not a friggin chance.
Burn them all with fire.

"Horrible era to buy anything with a VW badge on it....I’m convinced that all VW plastic parts were manufactured out of dried toothpaste."
I'm not sure which is most impressive:
The B58 motor
Stephan Papadakis ability to be both a master mechanic and great video presenter
The engineers that come up with the many tools seen in the assembly video that I didn't even know existed
Here's a baseline comparison of the new G29 Z4 vs A90 Toyota Supra. All runs are on CA 91 octane, measured at the wheels on our dynojet.
While both are B58 based, the Z4 sees a 48whp gain up top compared to the Supra.
