If you asked me yesterday who I might have expected in Q3, I don't know if I would have guessed half of the group.

It will be interesting, and i hope fun, to see some of the more regular high qualifiers work up through the pack.

Well if there’s one track where pole position doesn’t matter it’s this one, hoping for a good race tomorrow

At what point is Mercedes going to stop saying they don't think they have the pace? It's getting annoying and a bit disingenuous

What a load of horse****, plenty of women out there that can handle this kind of physical and endurance demands. Maybe he should go watch a triathlon some time.

I know, I couldn't believe how long he rambled on digging a deeper hole. And what a PR nightmare for Red Bull.

Depends? If this was a US company racing mostly in the US, yes, it would be a PR nightmare. But not in Europe, where saying something like this doesn't spark a PC s___storm like here.
I spend a lot of time in a town 5 miles from the RB hanger in Salzburg, nobody there would raise an eyebrow for this.

Well, give 'em credit for consistency. This is the 4th race in a row they've said it. They don't want to jinx their 1-2 finish.

Toto's exact quote before qualifying was, "Ferrari is almost untouchable today."

It won't gain much traction unless women in racing pick it up and run with it, but it was an unnecessary rant IMO.

Helmut is in a weird roll. Recently he went on and on about Toto always calling Verstappen, only for Verstappen, Verstappen's dad and Toto saying, um, no, that's wrong.

And poor Horner is dialing back the wild expectations Helmut had been spouting.

It's a case of putting a hot mike in front of a guy a bit too long

I'm a die hard Ferrari fan, but I'd love to see Norris end up with a podium spot tomorrow... probably a long shot, but at Baku anything is possible.

Mega job from BOT, KVY, and NOR in qualifying.

Yeah, Norris Iis getting lost in the news. He's taking it to Sainz and performing well in an underperforming car. F1 has a pretty good crop of young drivers this season.

Fir Ferrari, we'll never know for sure but it looked like Leclerc's day until his shunt. He will learn and there are many races to go.

Too bad Homeslice didn't see the weighbridge light. He could have finally matched or beat his teammate in qualifying this weekend.

This morning my son sent me this poem...

      Roses are red
      violets are blue
      "Ferrari is fastest"
      Mercedes one, two!

We are both pulling for Ferrari, thus it's been hard watching them get pasted my MB this season thus far. I wish they would have kept Kimi for one more year, I feel like he would be more of a challenge to MB than either Vettel or Lecerc has been thus far. Kimi has been racing really well thus far for Alfa Sauber.

Entertaining qualifying session. This sorta stuff is just what F1 needs.

As usual, I'm pulling for the son of Jos and I'll Be On.

Just caught the f2 Sprint race, for some reason TSN in Canada had it as a filler piece, I suspect from the OT NHL this am.

Schumi Jr got a last lap pass, and the number of incidents were predictably high.

Hopefully F1 race will follow that one in excitement level

Leclerc is in eighth and much faster than cars ahead, i hope he puts on a good show going to the front.

He has to stay out of the inevitable crashes early on, the track marshals will be busy today.

I caught the f2 race 1 yesterday. A lot of action indeed, let’s hope the F1 race is as exciting

Hamilton made it fun at the start but no grip off the racing line.

Leclerc is doing what we thought he would, making passes. Seeing the speed difference between Ferrari and McLaren on the long straight is pretty amazing. He's up to fifth already with Verstappen ahead.

So will Vettel let Leclerc by ?
