Removed summer wheels/tires, cleaned up and put a very thin coat of Mothers Carnuba Paste Wax on. They are stored in my basement until spring. I'd prefer to leave the wax on until then. These are machined, clear coated rims. Will leaving the wax on be detrimental?
Id buff it off. The wax is still going to provide a protective layer on the wheels whether you buff or not. I'd not take a chance that it will be extra hard - or maybe impossible - to get off when Spring rolls around.
Use GEYON's Q2 RIM Coating. Will last 100x longer than wax and will prevent brake dust from sticking thus they will stay cleaner longer and wash off with regular soap.
