I tried the search......
I've got a 1990 B3 80 with the 3A bubble block. Car was in non-running condition when obtained with unknown history.
I suspect the rings are smoked from overheating. In the event that I can have the head rebuilt, is it feasible to drop an ABA block in place of the 3A? I know that I will need to swap the oil pump and oil pan, but will the taller ABA block work with the exhaust system or am I getting into a hybrid mess?
Looking for comments from folks that know. I don't have the cash to get the 3A rebuilt but dropping the counter flow head onto an ABA is certainly feasible.
