Not sure why some show so much smaller. I'm using Flickr, and the images I upload are about the same size.

Yeah, too easy. Some of these will be easy, some very hard. These two seem easy to me:

Yep, correct on both. Let's try a couple of (probably) harder ones, at a different location. These are at the Ohio History Connection (no fair looking up their exhibits...)

I'm guessing these are a little too hard. Better get ready for the rest of the Air Force museum pix, since some are from the research gallery...

Anyway, both were made in Ohio, around 1930. The one on the bottom comes from a famous manufacturer.

Bottom one is an Aeronca C-2, semi-famous. The "flying bathtub." One on the top is an Alliance Argo, 1929 sport biplane.

Oh, well. Here are some more from Wright-Patt.

      This one is pretty famous:

      This one, not as much:

Pretty famous... Shoulda shot the main "gear"*... Can't place the other one though. Trying to remember something with such a flat belly.

Yeah, the first is very famous, and the mains would give it away. X-15, of course. The other is semi-famous, or at least, I bet you've seen pictures of it. That's the gear, not a trolley. It, and probably the next few, are in the R+D gallery.

The flat body makes me think one of the lifting body. I had to wiki the full group of test A/C and I think it's a Martin X-24

No guesses even? Well, they are pretty weird. X-40 on top, P-75 below. Try these:

The P-75 has me looking up German WWII bombers. It was a fun Rabbit hole to go down.

The second one with the skids makes me think of this one:

That's another one of the vertical take-off oddities. The one above, at the USAF museum, is the Ryan XV-13.

Any guesses on the one above it? Relatively famous prototype/research plane.

Nope, although I probably have a pic of its gear here somewhere. It's a P-59. And I believe the X-1B in the background.

Seems like a fun concept, shame it fell silent :-)

I'm guessing this is a prop driven VIP or utility plane from the 60s. I'm having difficulties placing it though. It reminds me in a way of the Lockheed P-80 and Bell P-59, so maybe a very early generation jet may fit too. Nothing I've looked at matches, though, so... no guesses here.

Top pic is the XV-6 Kestrel, baby Harrier.

Bottom one, you're on the right track. Rockwell Aero Commander, forget the AF designation right now, used as a VIP/presidential transport.

Nice finds, though more exotic than my knowledge or intuition would allow to pinpoint

Did look up some Beech VIP planes, didn't fit, and stopped there. Also considered the U-2 and the Harrier for the side-wheels, but didn't consider the Harrier test bed :-)
