With my lease coming to an end in 11 months, I've been looking at replacements for my 2016 328d.

Whilst poking around the configurator, it appears you can now order the 328i in manual guise. The 320i and 340i have always had that option. Still no hope for the touring variants or 328d though.

Sure enough, found one for sale:

      One question...you mean 330i, and not 328i?

Isn't the 328/330i just a 320i with slightly more hp?

Depends. 60 extra horses is much more than "slightly more" imho.

      Yeah that's pretty significant.

Should have said, 320i with JB4 tune.

      This warms my heart.

The manual may be in an iron lung, but it isn’t dead yet.

The 330i has a completely different engine since they updated everything to the B series engines. The 320i still soldiers on with the N20 and the 330i has the B48. The differences between the older N20 powered 328i and the 320i are minimal with the pistons being the main difference. There's also the SULEV N26 out there as well depending one what state the vehicle was first sold in.

Always could get 328 or 330i with manual trans. Problem is it is rwd only.

The 328i stopped offering a 6 speed a couple years ago (until now, apparently). Nobody cares that you use tapatalk.

Why aren't you keeping the 328d? Or do you just want a three pedal version?

It didn’t though. You could order a 328i rwd with a manual forever. And I’m sorry about the stupid Sig Tapatalk puts on my posts. I fixed it now.

I’m waiting to see how the G20 looks in production/M-sport guise before I make any decisions.

I’d love to keep the 328d, but still long for a manual tranny. Just exploring my options for now.

But there are apparently no options for M-Sport or Track Handling packages? But there is for the 320i? Weird.

    26. 06-23-2018 04:52 PM #25
There are actually. For both. It’s just bmws website vehicle build page is absolutely horrendous. There are tons of options that aren’t even shown anywhere on the website. Like technically you can order a limited slip diff on basically anything.
