Chatted with my LS guy again at work. Said my sewing machine tappa tappa is normal lifter noise on an LS when cold.
Shifting when cold is funny. I shift with fingertip pressure at all times. Today when the car was dead cold and soaking wet, I pulled the shifter with a little authority from 1-2 and it slid in like butter. Gentle? It hung up and was reluctant.
Almost all of the manuals I've ever owned have shifted poorly into second when cold, so now I'm thinking it's me and not the cars.
I'll try being more authoritative on the shift into second going to work and see what happens.
Car clicked into second just fine when I moved the shifter with more zazz. Guess old baby fingers shifting isn't the way to go with this Tremec.
