      Damn... I went with TT264/260 when everybody thought 288s were just waaay too big. With that, mild port work (most time also in bowls), gasket matched lower mani to 2.9 upper manifold, mk4 hg, dyno'd 164whp on a DynoDynamics dyno. Was told that would be mid 190's on a dynojet.

      3.94 is fun, 3rd still sucks (I don't know why they made it so far from 2nd and so close to 4th....), and .717 is too tall of a 5th. I fall out of the power band coming out of 4th now...

      You should try 3.65 with 1.46 3rd gear I know some 02S 6speed has 1.18 4th gear

      Do you know what other gearbox codes have a common 3rd gear? Can't find and 02a/J boxes for sale with the 1.46 3rd
