Surprisingly well. It isn't a touch screen.
My dad has a M35X with like 200k mi that he bough new, and it is a damn good car. They drive pretty well and other than the driver's seat having some issues, it has been pretty solid. He'll probably pickup a junkyard seat motor at some point as anything that isn't from a Nissan on these cars gets pricey. Very well built.
Shocks are expensive as **** on the AWD version as there are no aftermarket versions though.

edit: That one isn't 99% loaded. It is also missing the fancy ass rear seat option.

Me to. The dealership with the 2012 P31 C63 called me yesterday afternoon to checkin, spending 46K on a AMG while the 930 is still down was just too crazy. Even for me.

Yeah, I am not sure if it was user error or what but brake kleen and elbow grease were what it took. I think its all about pressure, most of these small non-commercial units just dont have the gumption.

Actually quite well. I thought it would be weird at first and I was apprehensive for anything this old but its pretty good. Better than allot of newer stuff for sure. A friend has a new Q7 and that interface is a hot mess by comparison. The button placement works really well, I think that I end up keeping my eyes on the road more when compared to the down low flat rear facing button systems.

Several road trips over 1500 miles to NM and back, just wish it had a taller final drive or a 6th gear. Almost bought a 2010 V6 with the 7 speed and updated vq, they were tough to find. In the end just couldn't give up the v8,
      Great rig. Congrats.
You are totally on point with the 6th gear. It's not turning an excessive amount of RPM on the highway but it could be allot better with another gear. Thus far MPGs are pretty meh, then again the 4.5l is proving more than capable at hauling the mail.

the upshot there is that the amg will probably lose at least the value of your infiniti by the time youre done with the japanese v8!

Yes, and they cannot match their respective holes. Belly button must show.

      Coyles/Wednesday Morning

In car news - I am working on a 'review' in my head. As such I am thoroughly testing the Infiniti.

And no pics yet (because its stupid) but I got the sport badge (that later cars had) and put it on. First mod done. Remember when listing every single thing in your signature was thing? The people who used to list oil brands/weight etc, I am old.

      How are the stock brakes?

I have seen a few with the brakes swapped out for the 4-piston units on the G37S, but wondered if there was anything to gain other than the aesthetics of big fixed fixed calipers.

Also, how bad is the MPG? Are we talking muscle-car low, like mid teens?

The stock brakes are meh. The PO recently did pads but I think it needs discs in the front, little warpage. I have looked at those G37S upgrade kits, there are a couple reviews on them and people seem pleased. No one however is saying 'wow'.

In mixed, probably more city and traffic driving, it thinks its getting 19mpg. I think thats optimistic.

Did you see the screen shot?

      8.2 MPG.

Possibly directly following a donut session.

It's a date. And no need to bring your buffer, unless that's a euphemism.

IMO 19mpg really isnt that bad, considering it's a relatively big car with a V8.

Sweet choice. I was thinking about a V8 Infiniti but I have a thing for the slightly older version of yours...

It really is a pretty sweet motor, at least in my guise. There are a few Y45's (look how JDM I am bro!) for sale around here. It's sort of like a Japanese ur-S4.
