I travel a lot, I live in a relatively wealthy area of Minnesota, but every time I’m visiting family in Chicago, it seems like Panamera’s are just everywhere. Porsche must sell more in Chicago than elsewhere.

My bigwig buddy who works in the Loop had one until it got accordian'd between 2 cars on the Kennedy. He ended up replacing it with a Maserati Ghibli.

Heh, I lived in Minnesota for years and everytime I drove through Chicago to visit family...I always thought the same thing. Panameras were everywhere in traffic. However, they hardly ever were the "interesting" versions...just lease-spec generic models...if you can call a Porsche that.

The other two cars I would run across were the Ghibli and starting last year...Teslas.

These cars never really blew my hair back, until I drove a GTS. I can say whole-heartily that planting your foot in first, is a fairly breathtaking experience.

I see a few in the Eden Prairie/Chanhassen area regularly.

On my way to work I drive next to Lake Minnetonka. I like to count the number of Escalades and Teslas I see each day.

While the style doesn't shout sporty at you, I do really like them.

If you are in the loop, and you see people leaving car parks during regular hours, they probably have a decent job, so all manner of luxury cars are present.

Panamera's are common as are Ranger Rovers, X5's, etc.

There are also TONS of Tesla model S's around. So many infact that I really dont ever notice them anymore.

For dealers the Gold Coast auto gallery almost always has a Veyron on display in its showroom as well.

What I see all over the downtown now are Chevy Suburbans as limos.

For sure the unimaginative bigwigs of MN drive Escalades and Teslas predominantly. And I understand that all manner of luxury cars are driven in the Loop, but I'm giving the bigwigs of Chicago credit for choosing the Panamera more than other cities I've anecdotally observed.

You gotta be a big wig just to be able to afford parking in the Loop.

Agreed on the Panamera, I also see a surprising number of Jaguars and Mercedes Benz G wagons, they've got more attitude than others but they're still all wheel drive and have plenty of room for all that pizza
