was helping my bosses parents move some stuff and saw a tiny car under a tarp on the neighbors property and the dad took us over to show us what was under the tarp and there was this little thing. absolutely tiny, 12" wheels, 2 stroke engine and the worlds tiniest steering wheel. anyone got any more info on them?

I had no idea they sold these in the American market?

It's an absolute shame to see such a rare car rotting away in a yard under a tarp.

They actually did fairly well on the track. Handling was good even though they're a bit under powered.

Better post it up in the local inkies for some crackin quid. A knackered motor such as that can only be saved by the spanners of 1 bloke: Edd Chiner.

First thing that came to mind. Their was less complete to start with than this one. Looks like it was on the road 15 years ago judging by the tags. Looks restorable.

The Grassroots Motorsports Forum automatically replaces swear words with other words, not asterisks. "Berkeley" is the word that the forum substitutes automatically for f*ck. So when I saw this thread, my mind automatically converted it back... lol!

Odd choice of replacement. Berk is short for Berkshire Hunt, which rhymes with "see you next Tuesday", so berk is cockney for that short word.

Well, some of the other substitutions are "E36 M3" is the substitute for "sh*t" and "Bob Costas" is the substitute for "p*ssy" which makes for some interesting forum browsing...

Given its current storage situation, one can only hope he'll cut ties.

I remember reading a book as a kid where the protagonist builds a Berkeley. In the book the kid comes home from school and discovers two calls on the home phone, one from his dad announcing his intent to divorce and one from his mom announcing her intent to divorce. In the garage is a half finished kit car, termed, in the book, to be a Berkeley Bearcat (I am a little fuzzy on that). Whether this part is factual or not I have no clue. The car was left by a customer, dad was a mechanic(?), as payment for some other work. So he builds it and starts driving. Along the way he meets two mysterious ex special ops guys with motorcycles who seems nice enough and they seem to take a tour of the north east. They help him get a fake drivers license and they have all sorts of cultural misunderstandings. I think ultimately the kid was trying to get to some other family member who may be able to sort out his life.

Don't remember the name of the book. That's all I've got.

There a subforum on reddit where you post stuff like this and they'll figure it out. Books, movies, TV shows... anything. Coincidentally, I can't think of the name of it right now.
