      (Vanity plate content)

Or is this the ultimate troll?

Taken by friend traveling to Detroit for the Rolling Stones show tonight:

Great idea actually. If I see Charger taillights, 4 out of 5 times its a police cruiser.
I gave up dailing old and rare cars and became a normie.

Police cars in Michigan, even "unmarked" cars, have an "X" in the middle of the license plate to indicate a municipally-owned vehicle.

Already? The platform has been around for at least 10 years. Most departments don't keep cars that long.

That's an 2011+ body style. I too would be surprised if it was decommissioned already.

      Why?
Most departments I know keep vehicles for 65-100k miles or ~2-4 years.

I suppose the departments I've lived around have been slightly more "clingy".

Are cops allowed to have custom plates like that? All cop cars here have CA EXEMPT above the numbers.

Interesting. I thought they all did - which vehicles don't?

I'd drive that. I really want to buy an old crown vic, lower it and get a decal for the front windshield that spells "not a cop" backwards. They're crazy cheap for just over 100k miles but I hate the stigma that comes with them. My neighbors would hate me.

It's probably a public service message from a concerned citizen who does not want to cause mass traffic slow downs on MI highways. Read the plate and keep going at your "pace"
