I wanted to like the i3 but it was just so ungodly ugly. The black silver blue ones aren't terrible but that brown mocha red is vomit material.

i8 is a sexy thing though, but I'd go for a Tesla long before it.

I have to agree with this. i3 definitely is a butterface.

BTW, anybody in TCL have a Mercedes B-class electric drive?

I think e-golf has the best interior of all EV's. Very clean and aesthetically well designed:

What color is yours? Or does it only come in this color only?

I love the MKVII interior, the way the door handles are integrated to the door card remind me of an R8. Mine is black, I think this one you're showing is a Euro model with blue accents on the trim and the bigger, nicer nav screen. I saw a beige interior LE at the dealer.

I just picked this up this past weekend. In our household it is being referred to as the "golf cart". I'll be looking to add some EZ-GO badges and golf bag holders soon.

I guess I'll be the first to post up a 500e. It has just over 4000 miles and we (it's mainly my wife's car) have had zero issues and it's been a blast to drive. I only have a couple of complaints and it's a 500 problem and not the "e" part of the car. I'm 6'2" and it's really tough to get into a good driving position. This could be fixed if it had a telescoping steering wheel, but it does not have it.

When I drive I typically can get 100 miles on a full charge but my wife only gets around 80 miles on a full charge. She has a lot more freeway miles so the range goes down a bit with the long, fast runs. This will be our first winter with the car so we'll see how the range is affected with the colder temps.

Here are a couple of pics (sorry, not the best)

Sweet looking ride. Did VW dealer negotiate on this car at all? With TDI scandal, TCLers are getting some great deals on new VWs. Welcome to the EV brotherhood (or sisterhood).

We got the advertised $2349 down & $199/mo lease deal plus the $2k VW owner loyalty cash. Still got a $3k state tax credit coming. So far I'm liking the electric car experience (day 4!).

Used to be advertised at that, but now it's advertised under 350 lb ft. Still plenty and fun, but not totally earth shattering. I drove one, it was a blast.

Only gets it to 60 half second quicker than a car that weighs 300lbs more and has 211 less torques. So not sure how they are doing so bad with the amount of power to weight the spark has. I am pretty sure it's the 3.17:1 axle ratio. All others are at least double that ratio.

Most interesting thing I found from all the stats in that article is the RPMS the asians have in their motors compared to the americans. Honda and Nissan have 10,000+ RPM motors. Ford has half that and spark only has a motor that spins 2000 RPMs?

Because it only has 141hp. That 400 tq number is a fun talking point, but the fact remains - power is the measure of force applied over time, torque is simply the measure of that force.

Gobs of torque. I wish someone would put sticky tires on the spark and see how it performs. I am constantly slipping on the low-resistance tires on the spark when accelerating. 0-60 is fast but not rocket fast. That torque starts from 0 RPM and its quite fun in everyday city driving in sport mode. I took the car to 90mph on the freeway and it would not go past that at all since that is the limit. At those speeds since the car is so small, I get kind of nervous and have both hands on steering wheel. My wife drives the spark also and loves it. She swears the car is faster then my Infiniti G37..I told her that its the torque and the size of the car that makes it seem faster.
