      These are fairly roomy and I hear they are pretty fun with a tune (Trifecta).

      Good lord, that's a lot of "maintenance".

      For reference, that fancy Civic that I had for four years (34k-76k) required $476 worth of maintenance over those 4 years, which consisted of fluid changes, filters, and wiper blades.

      I haven't kept track of mine, but it's similar. I have gone through 1 set of pads/rotors & I'm on my third set of tires, but other than that it's cost me maybe $100/yr in fluids & filters and that is it.

      Is a 540i/6 really worth the difference? I know what my answer is.

      Well its a performance car. I paid about $1k a year in maintenance if tires are factored in along with random wear and tear stuff.
