Thanks for posting the new video!

I can't findo the link, but, YouTube channel "Crossthreaded" did a podcast with Nik and Rich about a month ago. In the podcast Nik explained a lot on their building and filming process. Binky is mostly an evening and weekend project for them and when people ask them about the project it's mostly the minute details that people want to know about. All of this equals time and drastically increases the wait between videos. Nik also mentioned that some of the delay for episode 16 is because they had to rethink and reengineer a few areas of the car, most notably the flip front hood.

Yeah, I'd imagine that flip nose is tricky to get right. There are a million ways to do it poorly, but few to do it right. These guys do it right.

They didn't go into detail but I got the feeling that they're doing away with the flip front all together. They mentioned something about needing more space.

Wow. It's hard to get more space than what's available with a flip front end!

I'm sure whatever they come up with will work to their needs. I mean, did you see the freakin' door linkage or the pedal box?

My guess is it had to do with the lower front crossmember that the radiator(s) sat on and the flip front hinged on. I just rewatched episode 15 and when Nik was fabbing the forward engine mount I think there was some flex in that lower rail. I predict the changes center around making that area a bit more structural.

7.5 hrs on a bracket? Dear god. I mean, it looks gorgeous, but they could have done the same with some uni-strut and fender washers in about 30 min.

The biggest thing is that they end up with the bracket at the end.

When I get a day off, and I want to build something, it usually start with an hour of "oh my god I don't even want to think about how messy the garage is" followed by "it's too hot anyway" followed by doing some other chores, and then finally going out and reorganizing my sockets.

I listen to 7.5 hours of podcasts, but I don't have a bracket at the end.

This is awesome. I'm watching this whole build at work today. nothing like the sound of grinding in welding in the background while you do research

Not really the point of this build. Sure, they could have done a lot of quick and easy things on this build but that's not what they're going for.
