OEM Part Numbers: 8P0880491B and 8P0880492B

Mine are a flaky mess. I want to replace both the right and left. These are located on either side of the gearbox (see picture). Please get in touch if you've got 'em. Thank you.

While I don't have any to sell, I've seen numerous threads with people wrapping them, some time and a hair dryer can do wonders. I only say this because I've seen these things go for astronomical prices over the years.

They are absolutely going for upwards of $60 a piece (used). I'd love to go the wrap method if I could find a very similar OEM finish. Any help in that category?

      Appreciate your two cents.

Honestly not worth spending the amount for brand new ones. I have the same issue as you and I'm opting to simply wrap them, much more cost effective. Even if you were to find used ones, it's almost guaranteed to have tears in it.

I hear ya. I found some used ones, but I'm still looking at well over $60. Is there a wrap you recommend? I was thinking about going with 3M (http://www.amazon.com/3M-MATTE-Black.../dp/B00598U2EM) but was unsure of the match. Plastidip looked atrocious (tried it on a sample piece of plastic).

      Thanks.

I used 3m for my interior trim and b pillars, no issues at all. I plan on doing the grab handles this weekend, but because of the shape it's gonna be tricky. I'll probably use 2 pieces of wrap to get it to fit right and probably try to hide the seams where it can be seen easily. Blow dryer is a must!

Plastidip isn't good cuz it'll nick just as easy as they are now...
