Hi,
So it was discovered with the RNS 510 it is possible to disable the small compass display in MFD through the long coding in channel 37. Although this is indescribable in VCDS you just have to change byte 7 bit 6 from 0 to 1
I have an RNS 310 and would like to achieve the same thing, however when I change byte 7 bit 6 (also indescribable) nothing happens.
I've noticed the coding length is different is different between the two with the 510 being 9 bytes long and 310 12 bytes long. Screenshots below:
Can anyone confirm if Ross-tech is aware of that feature in the 510 (I'm guessing not as its indescribable) and whether there is an equivalent in the 310? The reason I am asking is this option is essential for retrofitting the RNS systems to certain model year SEAT Leons (mainly 05-08), as otherwise the compass display messes up the MFD:
Thanks
