@Steve, How do you know you need carbon cleaning? (purely asking out of curiosity)

But even though hes in the burbs it would take the better part of a day to get to Sacramento from San Jose

I have been considering this option rather than the crowded ski slopes. Just head out into the mountains and send it ! I'm injury prone though, could ded

I wonder if towing a skier behind would be a crazy dangerous idea considering the rope possibly getting into the track ??

poor use of quotes I know
I am trying to get it done at another dealership on Monday. They quoted me $200 less too Even factoring in my employee discount, I’d still be saving $100. The only thing is that it is more convenient getting it done while you work. I now have to figure out how I’m getting to work. Thinking the train.

Edit: Am I being a dick by doing this? I also forgot I didn’t pay a diagnostic fee at my dealership.

Considering all the things you've done around there I wouldn't worry about it.

Carbon cleaning can be difficult. I'd make sure the are taking the intake off and manually scraping out the deposits. A simple BG chemical clean won't work nearly as well for heavy deposits.

Thanks man, I just really need it done. It’s so much worse in the cooler weather. It’s very, very bad. I saw it at work.

I just remembered that removing the intake and using a small walnut blaster and using a shopvac to clean up is another excellent method.

Yeah that’s typical for anything I do. Have 100 different ways of fixing the problem. Many different products and tools. Sometimes just comes down to preference.
Today I had to remove these.

      Less is more.

My car came with those silly fender badges. Some 80 lb. fishing line, a hair dryer, kroil, and polishing took care of that problem.
