No more spots are available for this year but if people will like to start their own league, I can post the rules we use so you may start your own for this season and your groups. :peace:

The reigning champions have changed their name for 2013, adding the word ‘Infiniti’ to their official title to boost the presence of their key sponsor, the car company more commonly known as ‘**** Lexus’. The new RB9 racing car reflects this in two ways. Firstly, because it has a horribly over-ornate clock in the dashboard. And secondly, because you will never see more than two of them in your entire life. Red Bull enjoy a great driver line up in Sebastian Vettel, who is motivated by his desire for a fourth world title, and Mark Webber, who is motivated by his desire to stop that happening.

Good Evening lads and welcome to the beginning of the Formula 1 2013 Season. With less than 30 minutes before the 2013 Season begins in the land of Shrimp and Barbeques (right?).

With a close watch on what looks to be a very eventful season I have put together a little season preview for you all. Taking a look at the 2013 lineup it looks as though there are many unanswered questions!

First up on the list is the future of the Elbow deep in U Boats Team. With a solid third place showing last year he comes into the season with some very high hopes and some great talent to back it up. Seb Vettel who is setting out to produce a 4th straight World Title! This of course is the only talent on EDIUB's line-up. We follow up Seb with a strong second driver in Pastor Maldonada (get it?) With the loss of his financial backing it would appear that his time in F1 is coming to a quick end lest an act of God was to save him. With his third pick in the draft he stuck with the Reb Bull family but just like Marussia realized quickly that he had made a huge mistake a dropped his loyal number three for Este Guitz. The thought is that EDIUB was thinking logically but in reality he was walking around the city and saw a Hispanic woman with a large booty which swayed him to choose her Mexican counterpart. Best of luck to the EDIUB this season. Hopefully he will come up with a name soon so that I don't have to keep referring to him as a man with his hands in a clogged toilet

Late for the Race had what could be looked at as the most balanced draft of all the 2013 contenders. With a great balance and a strong leader like Fernando Alonso he could easily be considered the favorite. With what has been touted as a better car and a teammate who is clearly no threat LFTR hopes Alonso can carry him to many victories. Young Paul Di Resta in his Junior year at Force India will not have the same piece of mind as Alonso. With a prisoner on his tail at Force India he will spend more time watching his back then racing for podiums. Last but not least is the completely insignificant JEV...

The Ghost of Bob Varsha has long gone but Nico Suave has taken his torn denim place as an outside shot. With Rico joining the BSF1 team this year he brings with him hopes and dreams. With a surprising selection of two #2 drivers for his first two picks he hopes to take the BSF1 league by storm! Mark Webber (hoping to start strong in his home race) is paired with Nico (hopefully Lewis can get me a good car) Rosberg. With some help from their teammates they should have solid vehicles to propel them to solid points finishes. Oddly his only #1 driver choice came in the 3rd round creating a power so strong that some would refer to them as the wonder twins. Nico and Nico hope to give Nico Suave a season to remember.

The Rainbow Push Coalition is next on deck with some solid hate and prison time. Following an exciting season last year that left him looking from the outside in of the top 3 he has gone to great lengths to provide the most messed up team on the grid. With a World Champion dropped to a over valued team with a terrible car, a hired assassin behind the wheel of a Lotus and a prisoner it's becoming very apparent that this could be a difficult season for the Push. We wish you the best of luck this year and hope that Sutil can stay out of prison. We also hope that Paully D hasn't strapped a kilo of coke to the bottom of his car and phoned his parole officer...

Team White Visor is coming off of a championship season the likes of which have not been seen by this league. Knowing that he is working with one of the weakest teams on the grid he should be looking forward to the comedy his team of misfits will produce. With Kimi already making headlines for his amazing drivers training program and Felipe being small, Brazilian, and emotional it is looking to be a gem of a season. To cap it off his rookie Jules Bianchi hopes to finish a race in his laughable Russian sports car????? Team White Visor might end up being Team White Flag half way through the season.

Last but not least is our playfully racist friends at Speedy Gonzales Racing. With a lead driver who's father is a more interesting person and a Hispanic man that finally got a chance after not really showing any talent deserving of that chance he hopes to not repeat last years tradgedy. Hopeful that his "all eggs in one basket" tactics will pay off SGR is keeping all of his fingers and maybe some of his new Finish driver Valteri Botas' toes crossed hoping for his first official win in our BSF1 league. Best of luck to you and keep up the subtle racism.... yea we know girlfriend is Mexican and approves....

Good Luck to all and enjoy the beginning of the 2013 FIA Formula 1 Season this evening!

My team name will be Posicion de manos. Due to Alonso's saying after the India Grand Prix he said "If the sword breaks, attack with the hands", “If they cut off your hands, push the enemy with your shoulders, even with the teeth.” We also know how much this guy loves talking about positions....

Is there an itinerary for tomorrow's activities?
River turns green at 10:00am at wabash and wacker. Jess and I will be walking over from our place and I should have parking for one car available in my garage. We will probably head out at around 9:15 as it's a 25 minute walk.

After that we can grab food, or get drinks, or what the heck ever I am not picky at all!

I am heading out to Gregs at around 7pm. My plans were to watch the river turn green, grab some food and drinks with friends, go home and take a nap, then get ready and head over to gregs for casino and racing. I need to make $75 back to make up for the horrific season I am going to have.

Well kids it was a great weekend for all involved. Since we haven't heard from Greggy I am hoping that he is alright and hopefully we weren't ditched for some line dancing at Tobe Keith's "I  this Bar and Grill" (seriously if that was the case you are banned from the league...)

Below are the updated standings from this weekend. As you can see I am picking up just where I left off at the top of the tables with an impressive 16 point weekend to start the season. This will most assuradly backfire come races two and three but I will gloat while I am on top! So to quote the 2013 Austrailian GP winner "It was really quite easy!"

Rob, I love how you mix up my driver number and his race position.

Roman Grosjean finished in 6th position but is car #8. Please update me with 2 less puntos.

Well it's another bang bang Formula 1 weekend. With the Australian summer behind us it's time to focus on the rain soaked Malaysian GP!

This race has extra special meaning for me as it has provided me with my last two team names (Ice Cream Cargo and White Visor). So without further a due I give you the Malaysian 2013 GP preview.

After a poor start in the two day Quali session, team "Elbow Deep in Poopy" managed to finish with an average score of 35 thanks to his helpful GA. With Maldonado proving to be a sketchy pick-up this season will EDP continue to gamble down this destructive path or will an early season change in line-up benefit the Pole. Only time will tell if a second round selection of Maldonado will pay off.

Coming off a promising second place finish in the opening round Position De Manos is poised to repeat last years solid showing. A surprising 12th place finish for JEV puts PDM right in the thick of things going into Malaysia but we all know that a good downpour can change things fairly quickly.

Well there really isn't much to say about Nico Suave. A great qualifying led to some heartbreaking defeats. In his first year in BSF1 competition NS quickly found out that sometimes it's better to choose a slower driver in a reliable car than Lewis Hamiltons friend... After a wardrobe malfunction the Incredible Hulkenberg was tossed from the race proceedings and his pal Rosberg soon followed with a broken everything. But one race does not a season make, so keep your chin up young rookie.

Bigot Racing also proved once again that he should be taken seriously. A surprising finish from Lewis Hamilton in a car that can only be described as a "2000 VW Jetta VR6". With the first race in the bag a talented Hamilton and an oddly non catastrophic Grosjean were overshadowed by a prisoner. We are not sure if he slashed the tires of his competitors to get to the front of the pack, but lets hope he can keep it up. BTW is Sutil even allowed to travel outside of Europe? I wonder what his parole officer has to say about this...

It should come as no surprise but last years champion brought a heavily underrated team to Australia and came out with a nearly record breaking performance. Though certain his luck cannot continue through the remainder of the season, it was encouraging to see Raikkonen stand on the podium so early in the season. With two of his three team members proving some of the best moments in recent F1 history at the Sepang Circuit, it will be interesting to see what they add to the story.

Rounding off the pack is Speedy Gonzales Racing. What looked to be a great draft is slowly turning the tide into a danger zone for SGR. With the McLaren drivers looking to the performance of Alonso last season as an inspiration it may be fair to say we have seen SGR put up it's best numbers of the season. With an undriveable Williams and a McLaren team that is reverting back to their 2012 car the lights look to be dwindling on the 2013 season for SGR. But with precipitation in the forecast this might be SGR's best shot at his first ever BSF1 win.

With the countdown at 30 hours till P1 I hope you are all looking forward to Sepang. Remember to set your DVR's to record extra time because this one is going to have some delays. From all of us here at BSF1, keep watching because I am sure something f****ed up will happen.

"Practice One - Webber sets the pace in Malaysia" -F1.com

I read this and I'm mildly optimistic, but then I realize that even if he gets the pole position, he is going to end up in 9th place by turn 1. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

#118 ·
Well Malaysia certainly did not disappoint. With round 2 in the books we have seen one of the backmarkers put up a performance to remember and set a record for our BSF1 league. A record which apparently should have been even lower if both of his #2 drivers were allowed to pass their slower counterparts.

It will get more interesting from here I am sure! Congrats Derek on your first win!

I love all the swingers on both sides of the camps. Racing is racing, deal with it Webber. Hope you like being #2 again this year. Multi 21 THIS. :p[/QUOTE]

My take on it is that he didn't listen to his boss telling him to do something. If I was RBR, I'd take the Ferrari approach. If either will be fighting for the championchip at the end, it'll be Vettel. But they made a call, Webber turned down his engine, let Vettel get close, and Vettel passed him.

If Webber tried to defend, it would have been much harder for Vettel to close the gap, and then have enough tire to pass. From what Horner/others said, you lose your tires much more quickly if you're in the wake of another car.

So now they'd have 2 cars on useless tires, and a pair of Mercedes behind them who for all they knew at the point, could be trouble.

Vettel apologized, Horner sounds pissed, and Newey looked like his mother just died right after a 1-2 finish. Vettel f-cked up and they all know it.
