For what it's worth, the center of the bumpers are strong. They just didn't care to put enough support in the corners.

Which is either evidence of serious cheap-assing or smart weight savings.

I'd hate to say it, but this is not exclusive to Camrys. When you hit something, where is the point of contact? Bumpers... The middle of the bumpers usually pop back out while the corner stay pushed in like a pop can.

Certainly not exclusive to the Camry.

But finding a Camry without one is a rare sight indeed! I can't think of the last one I saw without such a dent.

No dents in the 'Amish wife' Extremely practical, and unexciting:

For some reason, It is hard to figure out where the corners of the car are while backing than any other car I have ever driven. Most of the time I probably have 3' before I think I'm about to hit something.

I got in an accident, rear ended a Camry yesterday. The whole back bumper was a Camry Dent... the car I was driving, Ford Escape, was fine.

I used a hairdryer and popped it out. Left it that way for a year or so, then just returned it after the lease was over. There was still a crease, but the lease inspector guy didn't even notice.

      Although less prevalent, great example.
