Hmm, I didn't know they did a full red interior on the S2000. That looks sharp.

Point was, for me, my drive to work is less than 2 miles, and is comprised entirely of stop lights and pot-holed streets. The S2000 is no fun to drive in these conditions, because it is incredibly stiff, rattles with the hard-top, and you can't even see a traffic light sitting in your normal position. It sounds like the OP is in a similar situation, hence my .02.

Not crazy, make the switch. Buddy of mine had two of them, came so close to pulling the trigger myself...regret chickening out actually.

Sounds like you need to harden up.

      S2K + hardtop = FTW.

      Do it. don't hesitate.

Drove a heavily modded s2k on a whim. Enjoyed every moment of it. Would have bought it too if I wasn't so deep in another project at the time.

      do it.

as i understand there are approx. 300 per year 02 and 03. making them the rarest color combo. the earlier cars had black dashboards. it's a very fine looking interior.

it should also be noted this isn't my first foray into "wildly impractical." if i buy this i'll have completed the four horsemen TCL tour - NA, NB, Sol GXP, and now an s2k...

it's do-able - just not comfortable. my take home is pretty good, but the insurance bill would be murderous. in addition, i'd rather be saving a fair amount of coin than blowing it on two "fun" cars. i'd rather save the cash and buy a half decent winter beater - like another subaru. or just suck it up and walk to work if i really have to.

Best car I ever owned. One of the best I've ever driven.

Ownership list includes an '08 Stage 2 STi, Supercharged RSX-S (only cars worth mentioning)
Driven list includes: E55 AMG, 997 911 Carrera S, NA1 NSX, Every generation STi and Evo sold here, C6, B5 S4, and a few other similar cars.

Hands down man, the S2000 was it. Its not very practical or convenient, but you forget about all that stupid **** as soon as you turn the car on. Its a ****ing wet dream, honestly Honda could not of done a better job. In complete stock form that car is so good, so much better than its competitors. One thing to be VERY aware of is the tendency of snap oversteer the AP1's have. Stock RSB is something like 27 1/2mm....STOCK lol. Car is bonkers but I guarentee you it will NEVER fail to put one of these on your face.

This is from when I sold my J's Racing 60rs. Unfortunately it was the early authentic J's 1 piece not the A&J 2 piece garbage so you can see its kinda the same as your wagon LOL.

I finally pulled the trigger on an AP1 two weeks ago, after months of looking. The S is my DD.

Do it. You won't regret it.
