My Everton were poor on the day. Even though we signed Arteta for another 5 years.

Blackpool, now that was an amazing result for them. Some of the players had only joined up in the last week.

Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool - Note:Arsenal can think Robert Green errrr.... Pepe Reina for that one.

      8/18 - Match - MNF
      Manchester United 3-0 Newcastle

Paul Scholes played a magnificent game and Berbatov found the net and possession was totally one sided. Here is a report... Berbatov, Fletcher & Giggs see off Magpies - Skysports

chelsea put another 6 past Wigan today. Still have a good feeling about United this season though. And it looks like Blackpool were a little unlucky getting the red card in the first half giving arsenal an easy day.
Are the Monday night games going to be a new thing this season, will there be one every Monday?

I am very disappointed with United playing their "last 10 minutes plan" where they continued to give the ball up and give up a goal in that time. Looked like they were in going to kick back and cruise it seemed. Nani telegraphed where he was going to shoot even before he struck the ball. I keep thinking about why didn't Giggs take the kick but he really hasn't taken too many penalties over his career. Outside of that Cheers to Scholes and his 250th goal.

No wins for Everton in 3 games and we've got our best squad since the 1980s or so.

Much respect to Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes not just as footballers, but as people in general. They personify the values I feel has been lost in football.

Not a bad start for you guys and the chance is there to be established as a Premiership force. BTW, when I saw your username and location I thought almost instantly of the late Derek Dougan.
