      Alpine iDA-x305
      iPhone/iPod integration that works great.
You can always add lots of things like bluetooth, HD radio, Satellite, Audio Processor and more.
I love mine and got 2 friends of mine to get it as well.
Has all the preouts for amps that you need. I highly recommend. Check out
      Crutchfield.

Just keep in mind that the IDA series from Alpine DOES NOT have a CD player. They are designed for digital media only. It also only has 2v Preamp outputs.
All of those extra features also cost extra as well.
      Remote (Doesn't come with one.): RUE-4202 - $20
      HD Radio Tuner: TUA-T550HD - $230
Bluetooth: KCE-350BT (Which got terrible reviews) - $230
      Imprint Audo Processor: PXA-H100 - $180
      The Pioneer DEH-P5100UB has:
      DUAL USB inputs.
--Advanced Sound Retriver (Built-in Audio Processor) for USB devices.
      Comes with a remote.
If you want to add the additional features they are less expensive.
      HD Radio Tuner: GEX-P20HD - $100
      Bluetooth: CD-BTB200 - $180
With the Pioneer you'll just have to buy the CD-IU50 to play the iPod.
iNNovative Concepts: Audio, Alarms/Remote Starts, OEM Integration, etc.

Alpine CDA-9886 is hands down Alpine's best unit.
It might not have the 2.2" color display but in sound quality it more than make up for it.
Plus it has 4V out put for hooking an amp and it plays CDs

Ive always been a big alpine fan, but i gotta say over the past few years pioneer has them beat. They look nicer, sound nicer and offer far more features at a lesser price. If you got money to blow, then go alpine, they still are and always have been top notch in terms of quality, but very conservative when it comes to additional features. Pioneer will be my next unit. FYI if you are buying a pioneer make sure you don't end up paying for a 'premier' model which generally is identical to the pioneer model but more money....

Yea, don't pay for a Premier. It comes with a 2 year warranty and sometimes an extra accessory. Plus Pioneer is stopping production on the Premier line, from my inside sources I've heard they are coming out with something else that's similar.

Correction pioneer has 2volt rms outputs. Pioneer premier has 4volt rms preouts. I would go premier hands down. Better sound through better equalization. But if you really want good sound get a eclipse 8volt preout!

You're wrong. The DEH-P4100UB, 5100UB, 6100BT, and 7100BT all have 4V preamp outputs and their Premier counterparts...
LOL, once again the sound processors and built-in equalizers from the Pioneer to Premier units are the same. PioneerElectronics.com is your friend, learn the product before you talk about it.
The 800PRS model is their pride and joy. THAT has the best sound quality in their line, it's what its designed to be.

The CDA-105 also will bump up to 4v pre out when you add the PXA-H100 sound processor which is a piece that would be recommended hands down. I have the CDA-105 with the PXA-H100 and KCE-400BT bluetooth module and it's a complete system. You have ipod interface, bluetooth support for cell phones and music, full media cd or USB, and a full function sound processor. All that for under $500 total. Nice part is you can add whenever, so it's very flexible.

I thought it was the 5100-prs that had the 4volt. And the prs being 5volt.

the 800PRS has a 5V. Starting from the DEH-P4100UB and up they have 4V whether it's the normal or Premier version.
