Since we all have different brands and interests, I'm curious to what is precious and rare in your car community.
      Post rare - trims/packages
      - colors
      - limited editions
      - etc
      pics would be awesome

      I'll start - BMW E36 M3 LTW
Around 125 produced - No ac/radio/amenities - aluminum doors, sportier suspension. around 300lbs lighter than a regular m3

This reminds me of a white 964 RS America I saw around town the other day, never seen it before but I hope to see much more of it. Were those the supercharged version?

Well, it's Mk1 Golfs for me.
      Rare/Desirable ones include:
Swallowtails - early first-year-or-so models with various trim and minor body differences, most notable being the "dip" in the lower crease on the rear panel, either side of the plate:

The "Campaign" edition - UK only, last-of-the-line 1983 GTIs with Pirelli P-Slot wheels, steel sunroof, leather-trimmed steering wheel and an "EW" Chassis code. I have one of these.

It should have centre-caps with raised "Pirelli" lettering, but they are in the boot (trunk).
Oettinger 16s - French (And swiss, I think?) limited-run factory approved upgraded GTI, featuring a 16-valve cylinder head before VW devised their own.

There are probably more, but that's what comes to mind right now.

Yes, getting a 2.8 manual C5 is very tough. I think they offered the combo up until 2000, though. Here's one that was for sale on the vortex, it was a 2000 :

Yea, I almost followed it into the neighborhood but had more important things to do than chase around strangers in cool cars...
There was a supercharged 964 from the factory though, wasn't there? Maybe I'm mistaken

I've always liked the Golf Limited. Not especially fast (AWD, Supercharged 16V) I just quite like them. Only seen a few.

Possibly....now that I think about it maybe it was a guy on here with a black supercharged 964 RS something-or-other...maybe it wasn't factory. Or I'm doing that thing were I dream stuff that's not that strange and end up referencing it in real life...

For the E85/E86 Z4s, the rarest option is Extended Leather. It's a $2000 option that adds leather to the doors, visors, and (on the roadsters) roll bars. Few people thought it was worth the money.
Also rare on standard Z4s is Urban Green, a sort of olive drab that's hugely unpopular. It was dropped after only two years in production, replaced by Olivin Green, a metallic olive drab that was equally unpopular and rare.
For the Z4M, Sepang Bronze is scarce as an exterior color, though I think Monaco Blue is the just as scarce. The rarest color in North America is Carbon Black - there are two Z4Ms with it, one roadster and one coupe. This color wasn't an option for the US, so someone with pull got them made. They have the same production date, so maybe someone did a his-and-hers order. No one in the Z4 community has ever seen either car.
The rarest color combination? Imola Red with Imola Red leather - seven of those, 4 M Roadsters and 3 M Coupes, iirc.
My car, Sapphire Black/black with Premium Package - the most common version extant.

White is certainly rare. The 6MT...I dunno. It's rare but not impossible. (Unless you simply meant a white 6MT - then yes that would be stupid rare )
There's been an allroad with cloth interior on ebay the last couple months, though it may have sold by now. That's one thing I'd never seen before:

They sent over 5000 R32s. The GTI 337 Edition was rarer since they only brought over 1500 of them.

my pick would be the 98 Impreza 2.5rs in Arcadia Green Metallic. Only 150 ever made, less than half came with the gold 5spoke 'goldies.' a friend of mine had one with a full 2.0 swap and it was a blast to drive

That is certainly the first I've ever seen that interior in an allroad. Crazy.
I've read before that less than 5% were manuals. "The take rate was in the low-single-digit percentage range" according to a company spokesman. A white MT allroad is definitely a unicorn.
Also relatively rare would be the olympic blue allroads. According to artciles 10 were made for the germans in 02 and then another batch for the US in 03.
On the Porsche front, the narrow body 89 911 Speedster is quite rare. Only 171 of the 2104 Speedsters produced were narrow bodies.

      1993 Cobra R
No radio, no AC, no sound deadening material... Only 107 were made. Had upgraded brakes, suspension... only came in Red.

      1995 Cobra R
Bare bones, stripped interior, cloth seats... 351W w/GT40 heads...Again, weight-savings was targeted, so there was no back seat, radio, power windows/seats or air-conditioning – not even fog lights, which were omitted to provide ducts for getting cool air onto the front disk brakes. Came only in white with Saddle cloth seats. only 250 were made.

      2000 Cobra R
limited production of 300 with a 5.4 L DOHC engine that was rated at 385 hp and 385 ft·lbf of torque, although independent dyno tests have shown that it produced rear-wheel output that nearly matched both of those numbers...

Stole all this info from wikipedia.
I've got a bunch of high end vintage audio gear I'm clearing out, restored Marantz 4270 - better than new condition; Pioneer SX-5590, 8/10; Concept 16.5, 8/10 cosmetically - 10/10 function. Various high end vintage speakers: Rectilinear Research, AR, Kenwood, Infinity, McIntosh, Leslie 251. PM me for details, clearing out to finance home theater upgrade.
