Okay so I'm purchasing a set of tsw wheels specs being 17x8 with 245/40/zr17 tires. He said the offset of the wheel is negative but doesn't know the exact number. These will be going on a 2002 Gti 1.8t. Will I have any trouble fitting these? And what size spacers will I need for it to fit flush? Thanks

Hey guys I dont know if someone already had my same problem, but the problem is: I own a VW Golf mk4 and I bought 18" Fast Europa Wheels... These rims won't fit... Basically only one hole matches...

The bolt pattern of these rims is 5x100

This is the rim I'm trying to fit in my golf

I asked around and there is who says I need to spend $500 for adaptors, who says that I will spend only $150 for the adaptors, and who says that I need to change rotors and other stuff and that I'm looking around $1000

Have been using this site for ages to calculate offset, wheel width, tire size etc. It is a life saver! Never really looked into this specific thread on here so never posted it before. Enjoy!

Ok I put up a post on the main page but I figured it wouldn't hurt to put up one here too.

I have a 2012 Jetta TDI and have run across a set of BBS RC 306's that I really like, they are 18x8.5 and 5x112 and the guys says he had them on a 2005 GTI with a 5x112 conversion and he ran a 20mm spacer, any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Cheers,

in fact , there is no widest for that

cos you know , you play hellaflush

first you confirm one thing , like the rim and the tyre ,

if you want it to look more hellaflush

you should use spaces or roll & pull fender or someone use the wide bodykit .

      thanks

      Mine is MK4 BORA ,
now i am planing to use htis rim
      http://www.work-wheels.co.jp/product...38&Item_id=158

any one have used this rim ?

      Front : 17 * 8.5j ET 20 tire : 215 40 17
      Rear: 17*9.5j ET 19 tire 205 45 17

first i plan to use 18 rims , but consider the bad road in CHina
18rim means that you should use the thin tire like 35 tire .

      last time i drive a car Chrylser 300c 255 40 20 tire ,
i drive a sharp turn , i did not get the hole in the road once i go , the rim got broken down . the tire also .

in your mine 215 with 8.5j 205 with 9.5 j can get it stretch look ? tight fitment ?

      thanks advance .

Hello all.. so I am some what new to vortex.. and i was trying to figure out what size spacers i need for the right fitment on my mkiv jetta.. so i bought some 2013 jeep wrangler wheels. They are 17 x 7.5 and are 44 offset.. crrently i have bbs rxII with 33 offset and they are way in there. Would 25mm be too much poke and tag fender lines or should i go with a more suddel 20mm.. i am in a tight spot since my tyres on the car are practically gone and i need to get these adapters asap.. so the ? Is do i go with 25s or 20s for adapters

Kinda new to the whole wheel and tire process. Have a 2012 Passat TDI SEL and looking for something to put on it.
      Looking at these:
      http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxNj...SvI4Z/$_57.JPG
      20x9 et40

How well would these fit with stock suspension? What about with the H&R sport sport springs on it to lower it?

I recently bought a MKV R32 and I'm waiting for parts to get in to put it on bags and drop it to the ground... I was looking at going with 19 x 8.5 if possible, is it possible? What offset would I need to use? I know the tires will definitely have to be 215/35r19 in order to tuck well...

Hey guys, I got some wheels off craigslist for cheap thinking they would just fit right up. I was looking them up online and found that they might not fit. Not sure why but is there anything I could do to put them on my car? I'm not sure what I would need to make them fit. I don't have tires yet I want to make sure they work with the car.
      - I drive a 2005 Volkswagen Gti. 1.8l.
-the after market wheels are from STERN, model ST-7, wheel size- 19x8.5 ET35 I think the bolt pattern is 5x120= What would I need to make these fit? please help,

Also from my last car, 07 Mitsubishi gallant es,I had bought brand new winter tires for the stock wheels. I know that the lug nut bolts are not the same. but i'm not sure what else I may need to fit these on winter time.
      - the stock galant wheel spec, the bolt pattern is 5X114.3 can I work with these? the bore is 67.1. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

      Thanks.

When I bought my 88 Cabriolet it had 17x10 wheels with 215 40 r17 tires on it. They where way to big I had major rubbing issues. So I took them off and put the stock tires and rims back on. I was wondering how big of a wheel could I go without having to modify the car

I"ve had old cop cars for years and I'm wondering if I could get away with running some 16" steelies on my Mk4? Offset calculator says the outer edge of the wheel will retract by 1mm while the inside edge of the wheel will need to be 13mm less. Going from a 16x6.5 with a 38mm offset to a 16x7 with a 45mm offset. Not sure if either of those are positive or negative. Would a 15mm spacer/adapter solve the issue or am I just pissing in the wind? I'll link the calculator website for reference.
