Looks fine from here
Pretty much any 12v head after 93.5 with the smog hole will work on any aaa. If you have an early car with no pump a 3/4Ē freeze plug can block it.
92 and early 93: head casting does not have smog pump port, blocks donít have bolt holes for Eurovan/mk4 style engine mounts
93.5-96.5 double row chain and single magnet cam sensor...
Usually w a broken strap it wont go into gear/fully release.
Many thanks! I have considered a DSG and may think a little more about it as the electronics to control it are better integrated into a standalone setup. That being said I am building a dog...
They can but only with lots of machining.
Yes, all 12v valves are same aaa, abv and afp.
Boost leak check, period. After that vagcom logs.
No problem, glad you got it sorted. Hopefully the next person with this problem finds the answer right here!
The long idle wonít hurt anything. If no codes double check plug wire position and make sure you dont have two cyls swapped. If thats fine I would do some driving, vary rpm/load and see if it clears...
One closest to the fpr is return, closest to rail is feed. Just went through this on another customerís car.
Just enough crap to get it jammed
I have seen them clog and frag but that one looks pretty good.
Any interest in taking the phaser apart to see if it could be repaired? I know the intake and old exhaust ones come apart pretty easily.
Same as any other 4cyl with 02a. Common would be using the g60 setup.
Have to break in the new neighbors with an after hours tow early on. Donít want them thinking you are too respectable.
