Billed as an B8 dashboard, these interesting photos have surfaced on the web that show a cool evolution of the Audi control configuration. Check out the various lighted readouts, including navigation in a color screen in the instrument panel.
So is it an evolved A4 or some other future Audi? Hard to tell. The pics don't look consistent with what we know of the A8. If it is the A6 or A7 then the interior for those upcoming models would have to be very close to B8 so we doubt that as well. Time will tell, but it's clear Audi is hard at work further evolving its MMI systems.
Sounds right to me and I'm thinking they improved the navigation by moving it closer to the driver's eye sight, so he/she doesn't have to look to the center console like on most cars. Expected nothing less from Audi!
Also, notice the lack of a redline on the rpm gauge in the lit up photo, whereas in the night photo the redline lights up. Perhaps it's a sign of what direction Audi instrument panels are taking. A combination of analog and digital! Hopefully Audi doesn't want to jump the all-digital instrument panel 'boat' with Jaguar and Mercedes. I personally find them boring + in case there is an electrical gremlin,(which the 2 brands I listed above are known for having) you could lose your entire instrument panel.
